私のような個人が衣類を作ろうとしたら、
製品化をお手伝いして下さる縫製会社にお願いする必要があります。

というわけで、縫製会社探しスタート。
ネットで「衣類　ＯＥＭ」で検索すると、候補が出てきます。片っ端から電話をしました。

私『個人でスパッツを作りたいのですが・・・』

先方『うちでは個人の方との取引はしておりません』

たいがいこんな感じです。
初めは断られる度に「がっくり」と衝撃を受けましたが、
そのうち断られることに慣れてきました。
・・・それじゃだめですね～。
縫製会社が見つからねば製品化は難しいのです！

個人はOEMは断られることが多いように感じます。
企業側から見ると、個人は信頼性とかお金の問題とか、生産数などで折り合いが付きにくいからでは。と思います。
（※2022年段階では個人のOEMを引受けてくれる会社が増えたようです。
恐らくコロナの影響。個人で商品を作る人が増え、それに伴って企業側も引受けるようになったと推測）

30～40社ほど電話した後、

やっと1社見つかりました！

早速伺いました。

担当者さんは、珍しい物でも見るようにあらゆる角度からご覧になり、
パッドも何回も触っていらっしゃいました。
私は内心ドキドキです。
（どうかお引き受けください～、と念じておりました）

結論が出ました。
『スパッツは作成可能ですが、パッド作りはできません』

〈理由〉
●パッドの素材の不織布が手配できない
●パッドが厚すぎて縫製できない

ということで、パッド作りは別会社を探すことに。
『このパッドがもっと薄かったら引受けられるのですが』と言っていただきましたが、
薄いパッドでは痛いお尻を守れないのです。
それは「おしりの幸せ」ではありません。

パッド作成会社探しが難しいのは薄々感じていました。

とにかくこの時期は不安でいっぱいでした。
とにかく必死で探し始めました。

Finally found a sewing company. But they said they couldn’t make pads.

It took us about 10 years to complete “Happiness in the Hip” and we were able to start selling it in August 2022.
I would like to describe what we did until the start of sales.

If an individual like me tries to make clothing
I need to ask a sewing company to help me to commercialize the product.

So, I started looking for a sewing company.
Searching for “clothing OEM” on the Internet brought up a number of candidates. I called them from one end to the other.

I said, “I want to make spats for an individual…”

The other party said, “We don’t do business with individuals.

It usually goes something like this.
At first, I was shocked and disappointed each time I received a rejection.
But eventually I got used to being rejected.
But that’s not good enough.
If we can’t find a sewing company, it will be difficult to commercialize our products!

I feel that individuals are often turned down for OEM.
From the company’s point of view, it may be because it is difficult for individuals to come to an agreement on reliability, money issues, production volume, etc. I think.
(As of 2022, it seems that more companies are willing to take on individual OEMs. Probably due to the influence of Corona. (I assume that the number of individuals making products has increased, and as a result, companies have started to take on the business)

After calling about 30-40 companies

I finally found one!

I visited them immediately.

The person in charge looked at the products from all angles as if he was looking at something rare.
He even touched the pad several times.
I was nervous inside.
(Please accept my offer, I prayed.)

I came to a conclusion.
We can make spats, but we can’t make pads.

Reasons
We can’t arrange non-woven fabrics for the pads.
The pads are too thick to sew.

So, we decided to look for another company to make the pads.
If this pad were thinner, we could accept it.
However, a thin pad cannot protect your painful buttocks.
That is not “buttock happiness.

I had a thin sense that finding a company to make pads would be difficult.

Anyway, I was full of anxiety during this period.
Anyway, I began a frantic search.
